Door to a window

We are also cracking on with quite a major project. Turning what was a door into a window. We are going to run the water and electrical cables into this wing through here. We have dug out a trench and prepared supports for a large stone that will support the new part of the wall we intend to build.  We had to remove the cut stone blocks that made up the old door frame. To do this we had to remove a lot of the existing wall to free them. They will be re used where we are turning what was a window into an entrance door! In case you are
interested, yes we did get them all out without damaging them! Once this supporting stone is in place we will repair / build a wall all the way across and then fit a stone window sill above it. Moving the stone block that we will use to support the wall was fun! First we tried a wheel barrow, then wooden rollers, then finally got it into the trailer and towed it behind the minibus.  That block was heavy beyond belief! Watch this space for progress reports.
