Getting there

We have been working four weeks now, its seems like four months

though! We have achieved so much in such a short time but now everyone will soon be heading their separate ways for the winter. The last few days we have finished pretty much all the major jobs that we wanted to do. Today I have replaced the last drain pipes on the two pepper pot towers so the cherry picker can go back. Hopefully most of the water will now go into the drainage system and find its way into the moat. Of course the damage has already been done to the walls

Now without the tree

over the last years so next summer we will have a lot of repair work to undertake. As you can see from the photo the wall where the water has been leaking has gone black, it will need months to dry out and will need so much re pointing. There was even a tree growing half way up the tower!! I am here with Glen for the next 3 weeks and will mostly be painting the shutters that have been sand blasted, re fitting the doors and tidying everything up!
