An uplifting job

Mark the carpenter came over today to install the joists for a new ceiling that we are putting in for one of the new bathrooms in the lower gite. This room and the one below it date from the mid 1700's and both have quite low ceilings. By raising the ceiling in the top room we can gain quite a bit of height in each room. The area above will just be utility space in my private apartment on the

top floor. We can now take out the original ceiling below the new joists and then board over our new ceiling. Each day we seem to move forward at a good rate, hopefully I am correct in thinking that we are ahead of schedule.
