Internal walls

We have almost finished taking up the floors and pulling down a few ceilings that have suffered severe water damage. So now we are turning our attention to some of the inside walls. Most were plastered with lime plaster many years ago and not only are in poor condition they also look awful. So with most of the internal walls we are removing this plaster and taking them back to the original stone. Michelle is doing this with the help of our latest bit of kit - a compressed air chisel - what a great piece of equipment. It is saving so much time and giving a much better result! The first wall that she is working on is already starting to look amazing, even without any repointing. Once they are repointed the room will be transformed. Also removing the plaster reveals the old stone blocks around the windows.
