Woods and wall

Took a walk around the outside boundary of the chateau today. Originally the whole chateau was enclosed within a stone wall. Whilst a lot of the wall is still in reasonably good condition, it is a different story where it encloses the woods. Many sections have fallen down or disappeared altogether. I also ventured into the woods which at this time of year are very dense and like everywhere else

very overgrown. However today I stumbled across an area that must have been cleared many years back, I had not been in this part before but it will make a great picnic area at some point. I also found a little pond that could be nice with some tidying up!
