Gardens and ceilings

At last we have finished removing the ceilings in the right hand round tower. The top room now has everything removed down to the oak floor panels. These panels are just laid down - no screws or anything holding them! It has
been a lot of  hard work, mostly because of all the rubble that we have to take to the recycling yard. So today Klaus & Eduardo started to take down the last small ceiling in the middle wing of the chateau. Still so much rubble from one small ceiling but by the weekend it will be done and then we can move on. Outside the gardens continue to be tidied up. We just need some rain now so the grass recovers!

Oscar, Gabi & I have been working all around the little old laundry and bake house. This is separate to the main chateau. It has an old bread oven and clothes washing bath in it. I have to say that now we have cleared away all of the overgrowth it has transformed the place. Next week Oscar & I will move on to the old perimeter wall and start clearing along that.
