Removing render

Work continues at pace all around the chateau. It has been in my plan to repair and re paint a lot of the outside render on the chateau. So today I asked Michelle to take off some of the render on one of the outside walls that needed repairing. My initial idea was for the plasterer to make a repair to the damaged render and see how well it would blend in after painting. But of course things always change  as new things are revealed. It took much less 

time for her to remove the render than I had thought. Then of course once I saw the wall free of the render it looked amazing. I had always dreamed that one day we could get rid of all of this ugly render but figured it would be way too much work. Now I am not so sure and think that realistically we could do it. The pictures kind of prove my point I think!
