Time for break

We have been flat out on the renovation work for the last two months and everyone is feeling the strain. So the plan for the next 5 days is nothing! We take some time off and recharge our batteries. Eduardo and Klaus have nearly finished the hard work of removing the ceilings / floors in the tower rooms and Oscar & I have really got the gardens

under control. I think that everyone will enjoy the break and come back with renewed energy! After the work in the tower is finished the boys will be on the cherry picker removing render from the very top of the chateau and also painting windows in the roof. Not jobs for me as I do not like heights!!

Also during the next week our local farmer Sèbastien is coming in to start ploughing up and preparing the fields around the chateau. he will be getting them ready for planting with grass seed next month. This is one project that I am really keen on as I think it will totally transform the whole look of the property. Also as we have cut down so many trees it will be great to be able to start planting new ones in what will become the park. We should end up with about 20 acres of lovely parkland for our guests to enjoy.
