The long Road

Today we laid the large stone that will support the wall where the old doorway once was. We managed to slide the stone into place without having to try and lift it! Mark was then able to start building the new part

of the wall that will tie in with the original. Eventually we will remove all of the render from the outside of this part of the chateau and then repoint all the stonework. Not sure if that will happen before the Spring though!
