Harvest

We have three large fig trees at the chateau and now the figs are just becoming ripe. There are hundreds of them on the three trees and they taste so nice, really sweet! So the weekend was spent making fig jam and also a fig balsamic vinegar. The fig balsamic vinegar seems to be a tradition here as we found many bottles in the cellar. They must be at least 20 years old and the taste is delightful.
