Now we can see the chateau

The last overgrown area to be cleared was just as you approach the chateau coming from the old gate. We wanted anyone coming down towards the chateau to be able to get a better view of it. It is not the best view of the chateau but it will be improved over the next 12 months. Also in this area which is at the back of the kitchen we will make a herb & salad garden. The three remaining trees are

in pretty poor condition, one just about dead, one leaning right over and the third not too bad. In the Autumn we have decided to take these down too, they were never meant to be there and are not particularly nice trees. We will then build a small wall to enclose the garden. Now all that remains to be done is to sow the grass in all of the areas that we have cleared. Also we will plant many new trees in the fields that we are reseeding. The plan being to make a beautiful parkland.
