The pleasure and the dust

Chiseling off the old plaster work and old mortar from the stone walls creates an amazing amount of dust and rubble. Every day Michelle and Emma are covered from head to foot in dust. Then we have to shovel it all up and dispose of it. But once the job is done the pleasure that you get from seeing the transformation is worth it. Really worth it, the rooms always look so much bigger and the beauty of this old building once again can be seen. Nothing is more of a transformation than the big windows. I struggle to understand why anyone would ever have wanted to cover them up - fashion and tastes change of course. Styles come and go but I know which look I prefer!
