Water in the moat

It seems that there must have been a bit of rain over Christmas as the moat that runs around two sides of the chateau is now full. One of the projects for this summer will be to repair the wall visible in the photo. Then we will build some new walls to enclose the whole of the moat. This will achieve two things, firstly tidy it all up and make it look really good. Secondly, stop the coypu from ruining the sides with their burrows. I saw three of them in the moat now the water is in it again.
