Snake in the grass

Whilst clearing a pile of stones from beside the moat in the back garden we found that it was the hunting ground of a whip snake. It made me jump and Gabi scream when he appeared. I moved him away from the area where we were working and he slithered off into a hole. A bit later a little mouse also ran out from the stones - I guess the snake had him in mind for lunch!
