Falcons

I noticed in the last couple of days that we have a falcon and some chicks nesting in the tower at the front of the chateau. I had noticed a bad smell by the front door which turned out to be lots of pieces of dead mice! Initially I suspected there must be a snake living close but then realised that there was a falcon nesting in a hole in the wall. I have seen the mother flying in and out of the nest and can now see a couple of chicks in there. So now I have a new daily task - clearing up the bits of dead mouse that fall onto my doorstep!
