The first of many

Big day today. Our first ever delivery of concrete is coming. It is for the foundation trench for the pillars in the old barn and will be the first of many such deliveries we will be getting over the next 18 months. It dod not start out well as the lorry had been misfiled and did not have much actual cement  in it. All we got was water and lots of stones! We quickly sent him back and soon had a delivery of the right stuff. Then it was all hands on deck to get the trench filled and levelled. I was pleased as I had calculated the amount required exactly right and it looks great despite the false start. Now Mark just has to build the pillars!
