Birds eye view

After 10 days of work Pascal has finished digging our new ditch across the field. He has also filled in the old ditch. The reason for the new ditch was twofold, firstly we want to plant and avenue of trees up to the old gate. One line of these trees will be planted exactly where the old ditch ran. 

The second reason is drainage, 18 months ago there was a lot of rain and the park flooded right the way from the forrest. We have redug the ditch from the woods to the lake. Second phase is the new ditch across the field - it will allow more water to be held. We have snaked it across the field to look like a little stream. Hope you like the view from 100m up!
